How Interest is Credited (Continued)

Available Index Strategies:

With both index choices (S&P 500© or Nasdaq-100®), there are three optional Index Crediting Strategies that may be selected at the time of the policy application. These include:

  • Annual Point-to-Point with Participation Rate
  • Annual Point-to-Point with Cap
  • Annual Monthly Average with Cap

Interest earnings credited into the Indexed Account can never be less than zero, even if the index return is negative.

Limitations – The amount of interest credited annually into the Indexed Account(s) is limited by either an Index Cap or Participation Rate. Annual interest credited will never exceed the Cap or the value after applying the Participation Rate.

Cap and Participation rates are set at the beginning of each contract year and may change annually. The annual Cap rate will never be less than 1% and the Participation Rate will never be less than 5%.
